Bengaluru Chetna Kendra

Shravani Parva is observed with a Panchkundiya Gayatri Yagya, celebrating the descent of knowledge and reverence toward Nari Shakti. The day carries Rishi and Ved pujan, Hemadri Sankalp, Das Snan, Yagyopaveet, Raksha Bandhan and tree plantation — along with sanskars such as Punsavan, Annaprashan and Janm Divas, each performed with Vedic mantras for families of the pariwar.

The birth of Bhagwan Shri Krishna is celebrated with Vedic mantras — gau pujan, abhishek, naamarchan and tulsi arpan — followed by chhappan bhog and mahaaarti. The evening flows on through bhajans, devotional dance and the Gora Kumhar naatika depicting Krishna's Vitthal swaroop, closing with the Shanti Path.

The Gayatri Chetna Kendra is at 37, Lakshmi Layout Main Road, Chikka Begur, Begur, Bengaluru — 560114, off Hosur Road. The nearest Namma Metro stop is Kudlu Gate (Yellow Line), about a 10-minute walk away. It is open daily from 5:30 AM to 9:00 PM.

Are the programs free to attend?

Yes. Every program at AWGP Bengaluru — meditation, Yagya, Pragya Yoga, satsang, workshops and Bal Sanskar Shala — is completely free and open to all, regardless of background. No registration fee is charged; the centre runs on selfless service (seva) and community participation.
