Gayatri Pariwar is a living model of a futuristic society, guided by the principles of human unity and equality. It is a modern adaptation of the age-old wisdom of the Vedic Rishis, who practised and propagated Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam — "the whole world is one family." Our aim is simple: a healthy body, a pure mind, and a civilized society, with an equal opportunity for self-growth for everyone, irrespective of caste, colour, or creed. In a fast-paced city of tech, deadlines, and digital overload, AWGP Bengaluru is a space to pause, reset, and grow from within — through Gayatri Sadhana, meditation, yoga, Yagya, and selfless seva.

Yug Rishi Pandit Shriram Sharma Acharya

Gurudev · 1911–1990

Saint, reformer, writer, philosopher, freedom fighter, and visionary, Gurudev was born on 20 September 1911 at Anwalkheda, Agra. At fifteen he began 24 Mahapurashcharans of the Gayatri Mantra under the guidance of his Guru, and joined India's freedom struggle with Gandhi's blessings. He translated the entire Vedic Vangmaya into lucid Hindi, authored over 3,000 books, and gave a 100-point Yug Nirman Yojna for the spiritual, moral, and social upliftment of the masses. He founded Shantikunj, the Brahmavarchas Research Institute, and the monthly Akhand Jyoti (1940). A devout son of Gayatri Mata, he voluntarily shed his body on Gayatri Jayanti, 2 June 1990.

Mataji · 1926–1994

Born in September 1926, Mataji was the spiritual consort of Acharya Ji and a motherly figure to millions of Gayatri Pariwar members. In Shantikunj's early days she completed 24 Mahapurashcharans of the Gayatri Mantra with the help of the Dev-Kanyas. After Gurudev's Mahasamadhi in 1990 she carried the entire mission forward with great courage — from editing Akhand Jyoti to managing the ashram — and launched the series of grand Ashwamedha Yagyas that spread Dev Sanskriti across the world. It was her boundless love that held the Pariwar together as one family. A perfect example of womanhood in modern times.
