Gau Pushti Samvardhan Yagya

Part of the Gau Samman Aavhan Abhiyan, this Gau Pushti Samvardhan Yagya is performed simultaneously across the world at 8:00 AM on 27 July. Wherever a gau-bhakt stands — at a gau shala, a temple courtyard or a home aangan — the same ahutis rise at the same hour, joining one sankalp across continents.

Our sankalp is the seva, samvardhan and sanrakshan of Gau Mata. In Indian tradition the cow is not livestock but mother — the sustainer whose care has always been counted among the highest of dharmic duties. This yagya is an offering towards her nourishment and protection, and a prayer that this reverence be rekindled in every home.

The yagya is held at the gau shala of the Gayatri Chetna Kendra, Lakshmi Layout, Chikkabegur. All gau-bhakts and sadhaks are warmly invited to participate — bring your family, and come a little early to take part in the gau pujan before the ahutis begin. As with every program at the Kendra, there is no fee and no registration.
